I2C pcf8574 8bit port expander

I made a test / prototype setup on a breadboard with two pcf8574 ics ; one for output and one for input. Both connected to the same I2C bus.

Adding more digital inputs to an Arduino was my first objective, as I am planning to use this on a project which has buttons that control a menu.

I2C LCD Display

I bought an I2C display on ebay and by the description it seemed it just might work out of the box... But it didn't ...

Here is a description of how I got it to work, so next time I do not have to invent the wheel again.

My display has a PCB on the back labled

The Cube was not my idea, I stumbled upon a video of a LED cube while researching the arduino. I found the LED cube so awesome that I decided to make one myself.

Now it has been build, I can understand why you can't really buy one. If you find a company that produces it, it is ridiculously expansive. And that is because it takes a lot of time just building the thing.

It took one night of hardcore hacking, and it works nicely :-) Thanx Psy.

I used:

	* an Arduino Uno (clone)
	* 2x Sure Electronics DE-DP14211
	* HT1632c library Code by wildstray
	* Fast Fourier Transformation library Code by #makefurt

Here is a write-up of the hardware.

And a short note on the

Steppermotor controlled by Arduino

This is a short how-to on controlling a bipolar stepper motor by an Arduino and a L298N based dual H-bridge controller board.

For a long time I thought about playing around with a stepper motor. The goal for this page is not to explain what a stepper motor is, but to document for myself What I did so I can reproduce the results at a later time.
